This healthy maple yogurt topping has to be the BEST addition to any form of breakfast or dessert. I have yet to meet something it hasn’t tasted fantastic on.
Ice cream? Check.
Fruit salad? Check.
Oatmeal? Check, check, check!
I’ve actually eaten it by itself on occasion. It’s THAT good.
It’s also ridiculously easy to make as there are only four ingredients!
The Greek yogurt base of this sauce gives it a high protein count while keeping things light. It makes an excellent alternative to any high-sugar content toppings you may want to add to your breakfast or dessert (I’m looking at you, whipped cream), and it tastes like cream cheese maple syrup.
That makes this Canadian girl very happy.
Maple Yogurt Sauce
- 2/3 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
In a small mixing bowl (or large measuring cup), whisk together the yogurt, syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon until fully combined and smooth.
Use to top pancakes, oatmeal, fruit salad, or anything else your heart desires!
Can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container up to 10 days or frozen up to 2 months.
